Printing Options

Plastisols

Plastisol inks can be printed on virtually any surface that can withstand the heat required to cure the ink and is porous enough to permit good ink penetration. Plastisol inks do not color the fibers like a dye. Instead the ink wraps around the fibers and makes a mechanical bond with the fabric. Each print design is separated into individual colors with each color processed through a mesh screen. To obtain a wide color spectrum we use cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink.

Flocking

A slightly elevated, velvety design; flocking feels soft to the touch but is actually quite durable and does not fade. Flocking increases the garment value in terms of tactile sensation, aesthetics, color and appearance. By utilizing this print technology in the design, we are able to create fun, trendy pieces with interesting detailing.

Eggshell

The eggshell print offers a more stylized effect to a graphic design and comes in a wide spectrum of colors. It is generally matte in appearance and touch, as an eggshell might be.

Flock and Eggshell and Distressed Flock

We have the technology to combine the special effects of an eggshell print and flocking to gives a garment a distressed look that is more retro in feel. This technique conveys well on T-shirt graphics.

Gel

Using a gel ink layered on top of colored inks gives designs a smooth, wet appearance, making the color stand out.

Distressed

The distressed look is a popular fashion trend that gives apparel graphics a washed and worn look. This effect begins in the design stage, rendering the necessary color and layer separations during the screen print process to ensure the desired impact.

Oversized Screen Print

Graphics in apparel continue to evolve, adding new and interesting oversized and off-center designs. At American Printhouse we have the machinery and technology to create oversize prints up to 32” x 24”.

Digital Print

Using our digital printer we are able to produce and transfer detailed graphics as large as 14” x 16” in size. Currently, digital printing can only be produced on white fabric, but digital printing on black is coming soon.

Shatter-base

Using plastisol formulations, we are able to create a cracking effect through the stretching of the print. The look is more retro and vintage in feel and popular with more fashionable pieces.

Heat Transfer

Applying heat and pressure through our special heat transfer press machines we are able to apply graphics on to a wide variety of fabric materials. This process permanently embeds graphics onto the product, giving it greater durability.

Metallic Ink

We can use a gold or silver metallic print technique on your design to achieve a glitter effect.

Foil

The foil technique provides an eye-catching, more hi-tech look to your graphics. Foils come in gold, silver and bronze.

Crystallina and Clear Ink

Crystallina ink adds a sparkle effect to any design giving a glitter or shimmer similar to designs using a metallic technique – but with Crystallina the process is layered and incorporates other colors through layering.

Tagging

If you are looking to produce a tagless T-shirt, or you need your labels produced and sewn into your shirts, we have the equipment and technology to produce what you need.

Lazer

Using our laser machinery, we are able to add depth and detailing to any graphic.

Number

Whether you need to print shirts for a sports league or team, or you want to personalize garments with names or incorporate a lucky number – we have the capability to print numbers and letters using a variety of printing technologies.

Folding and Bagging

No need to unpack and receive your order in a pile. T-shirts or other garments coming off of our presses can be folded to your desire packaged in conjunction with merchandise, priced or barcoded and be ready to put on the shelves to sell. Clients determine the method for packaging and American Printhouse delivers in that style.
